Dear Hounslow Borough Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Hounslow Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'High rise fire risk assessments'.
We are auditing the high rise fire risk assessments for London council owned and managed blocks. As such we have submitted FOI's to all 32 boroughs. Hounslow are the only council that have responded suggesting that people/tenants wouldn't possibly be able to interpret FRAs and as such are withholding them. In 2017, following Grenfell, the Information Commissioner stated that they expected all councils to proactively publish their high rise FRAs.
The new Social Housing white paper places emphasis on transparency and access to information. With these points in mind, we would like to invite Hounslow council to reconsider our request.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/h...
Yours faithfully,
Danielle Gregory
