Dear Kerry,

You have not answered the question I asked in
relation to the Weaver's Garden which according to the
Land Registry was acquired by your Council in 2002!

You have supplied a copy of an agreement with the
Heritage Lottery Fund generally relating to the Plas
Newydd Complex. Please supply a copy of the original
application in relation to this Agreement to reveal the
"Approved Purposes" and "Approved Usage" etc of Plas Newydd as referred to in the
Supplied Agreement.

I need you to answer the original question in relation
to the Weaver's Cottage and Garden which was acquired with a 65% grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund without further delay?

Yours sincerely,

Michael Edwards

Dear Kerry,

May be I can help:

1. According to the Land Registry the property known as Weaver's Cottage and garden South of Glascoed Hill Street, Llangollen was acquired by your Council on the 30th October, 2002 for the sum of £38,000;

2. A report to Cabinet(Agenda item 13) of your Council dated 4th December, 2001 outlines amongst other things the Decision Sought, Reasons for Seeking Decision, Cost Implications, Financial Controller Statement(HLF Grant):

I hope this enables you to investigate further, but please also clarify the " Approved Purposes" and "Approved Usage" referred to in the Agreement dated 4th Agust, 1999 between The Trustees of the National Heritage Memorial Fund and Denbighshire CC?

Yours sincerely,

Michael Edwards

Dear Kerry,

If you could just answer the questions in my request of 16th January, 2018, namely what is the:

1. Approved usage;

2. Approved purposes;

In the Agreement made with the Heritage Memorial Fund made on the 4th August, 1999.

Then the matter is finished.

Thank you

Yours sincerely,

Michael Edwards

Dear Mr Edwards

I apologise for the difficulty you have experienced obtaining the correct information. Further efforts are being made to find the document - mainly in archives boxes that contain mostly invoices. I am also enquiring whether any files are held at Plas Newydd.

Owing to the delay you have experienced, and the possibility that we will not locate the document, you may wish to contact the Heritage Lottery Fund to check if they have retained any documents or information:

Dear Mr Edwards

I can now advise that we have now concluded extensive searches for the

approved purposes and approved usage. Again I recommend that you direct
your request to the HLF.

the manner in which the Council has dealt with your request, you have the
right to refer this to the Information Commissioner whose address is

Dear Kerry,

No worries I have already received full details from the HLF Wales.

Your Council must be in some difficulty if it does not know the approved purpose and usage of its Grade 2 Listed Heritage Property!

Yours sincerely,
