The request was refused by Department for Work and Pensions.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

In September 2013 the Chancellor, George Osborne, announced a new Help to Work scheme scheduled to begin this April for all long-term unemployed individuals who had exited the Work Programme after two years.

Please could you tell me:

How many people are currently eligible for Help to Work?

How many people are currently on the Help to Work scheme?

Of those people:

(1) How many are undertaking 30 hours a week of community work?
(2) How many are visiting their local job centre every weekday?
(3) How many are undergoing intensive treatment to tackle problems such as illiteracy or mental illness?

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Jurgen Braun

Dear DWP DWP PMU.Fol,

Surely the DWP must have some notion as to a publication date in respect to the information I have requested? As the Help to Work scheme supposedly commenced sometime last April (2014) could the department not at least state whether or not the requested statistics will be extant by April 2015 a full year after the scheme actually began?

It seems to me that if the DWP fails to announce such a schedule a case for complaint exists. I would therefore ask the DWP for a reconsideration in respect to the information I have asked for, or at the very least at least some idea when the data might be publicly available.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Jurgen Braun
