I would like to know the number of houses in Brighton and Hove that were bought with the new Help to Buy scheme, introduced in April 2013. I would also like to know what proportion of these were first time buyers.

Please find set out below the information in response to the above
request:

I would like to know the number of houses in Brighton and Hove that were
bought with the new Help to Buy scheme, introduced in April 2013. I would
also like to know what proportion of these were first time buyers. The
Council does not hold this information. The Department for Communities and
Local Government hold the statistics for the central government
initiative. National figures were released very recently in an article
from the Guardian (see the link to the article below). We do not know
whether further breakdowns are available but the Department for
Communities and Local Government would hold this information. Here is the
