Dear Mr Elliott,
Thank you for your email of 21 August 2018, reference CAS-122258.
Details of business costs and expenses claimed by MPs are published on our
website. You can find details of claims made by Helen Grant MP at the
following address:
[1]http://www.theipsa.org.uk/mp-costs/your-....
The published information also includes details of each MP’s staffing
arrangements, including the amount paid to her connected party (within
£5,000 salary bands). We don’t publish precise salaries paid to staff
members as this is personal data, but the salary band for a Senior
Parliamentary Assistant is between £30,290 and £43,881 for non-London
staff and £33,000 and £49,793 for London staff.
MPs are the legal employers of their staff and are responsible for all
aspects of recruitment. We do not hold information on the advertisement of
vacancies.
IPSA only covers costs that MPs incur in their parliamentary functions and
so I’m afraid we don’t hold any information relating to Ms Grant’s role
within CCHQ.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can be of any further
assistance.
Kind regards,
Chris Veck
