Heathrow Expansion Referendum Costs

The request was partially successful.

Dear Hillingdon Borough Council,

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act.

Could you please supply me with answers to the following questions:

- How much is the cost of the recent referendum on Heathrow expansion, in total, the council?
- How much did the council spend on promotion of a "NO" vote? As seen on billboards, banners and bus stops in the borough.

I would be grateful if you would supply this information in an electronic form by
email.

If you deny all or any part of this request, please cite each specific exemption you think justifies your refusal to release the information and notify me of appeal procedures available under the law.

I would appreciate it if you would acknowledge receipt of this request and I look forward to hearing from you promptly, as required by the legislation, and in any case within 20 working days.

Yours faithfully,

Josh Dixon

Dear Mr Dixon
I am writing in response to your request for information below.
As I understand it you are seeking to know:
How much is the cost of the recent referendum on Heathrow expansion, in
total, the council?
£80,135 to date although not all the costs are in yet

How much did the council spend on promotion of a "NO" vote? As seen on
billboards, banners and bus stops in the borough.

Nil – the Council has not promoted a No vote. The ‘Say No To Heathrow’
campaign is a long running Council campaign based on the established
Council policy of opposition to further expansion at Heathrow.

The recent expenditure on that element = £11,777
