Dear Mr Landick,

Thank you for your request for information about District Heating.

Your request for information has been considered and I hope the following
will answer your query:

1. How many communal and district heat networks do the council manage?

Answer -  21 District Heating Schemes.

2. Have you notified all applicable communal or district heating networks
as per the requirements of the Heat Network Metering and Billing
Regulations 2014 - if so how many?

Answer - Yes, 21 District Heating Schemes.

3. Are you able to publish your notification?

Answer - Our submission has been delivered to Central Government
Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. They have the rights
to publish these results on a UK national basis.

4. Do you have plans to replace or upgrade any of these networks in the
next 18 months?

Answer - Not in the next 18 months but soon after. We will start a
centralised boiler house upgrade & refurbishment programme to budgetary
allowances from financial year 2019/20 for 5-6 consecutive years.

5. Do you have a heat network replacement schedule in place?

Answer -  As it is proposed in Q4, a planned works schedule is currently
being considered and is a ‘works in progress’ for the 2019/20
commencement.
