Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Can you please ask your payroll or HR dept to provide information on the number of staff you have who have the following words in their job titles:
'health'
'medical'
'NHS'
Please provide a list of these job titles. I am not interested in any occupational health staff or other staff who provide in-house services to tend to the wellbeing of your own staff.
If you are going to use the derogation, I would like to know specifically how you feel that it applies to this information, rather than your standard derogation paragraphs.

I am writing to request an internal review of British Broadcasting Corporation's handling of my FOI request ''Health' staff.
Job titles are not personal data. S40 does not apply. I am dismayed that you think it does. Aside from providing the reply can you please give me the job titles and paybands of the people that cleared this answer?

I've never heard anything so absurd in all my life (although the BBC rarely surprises me any more). How can job titles be considered personal information? Does it really matter if the people with those job titles are identified? The only way they could be identified is if they have openly advertised their job title anyway, so are the employees concerned really going to be bothered?
