Dear Liverpool City Council

It has now been establish that Liverpool City Council Social Service will remove the MODERATE band this means clients in the moderate band will not receive a service from LCC - It states in the budget that the assessments will be completed within 12 months to determine what band the client falls into,

1 When will the assessment start

2 Who will do the assessments.

3 Which clients will be first to be assessed.

4. If the client is assessed as moderate how long will it take for he client to be removed from the service.

5 Will the assessment be - CCA - Community Care Assessment.

6. If not he CCA what documentation will be used as part of the assessment

6. Is there an appeal process.

Liverpool City Council are moving their benefit claims service out of the council to the tax office.

We do not have any information in relation to Liverpool City Council moving their benefit claims service out of the Council to the tax office therefore we are unable to provide a response.

This concludes the response to your request for information. The City Council will consider appeals, referrals or complaints in respect of your Freedom of Information Act 2000 and you must submit these in writing to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxx.xxx.xx within 28 days of receiving your response. in the reply from LCC they state NVQ assessors will help with the assessments of clients re the removal of the moderate band. Paul Marr officer LCC has confirmed this is incorrect and all CCA assessments will be carried out by qualified social workers.
