Health and safety guidelines for Army Foundation College

The request was successful.

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Can you please send me whatever document(s) used by the Army Foundation College that set(s) out for enlisted junior soldiers: a) the maximum number of hours a week they can be expected to work; b) the maximum weight they can be instructed to lift (and for how long and using which holds); and c) the maximum distance and/or time they can be instructed to run loaded/unloaded?

Can you also please send me the document setting out the standards required of new recruits (including Junior Soldiers) in the Role Fitness Test.

Yours faithfully,

David Gee

Dear Ministry of Defence,
Can you please confirm that you're looking into this request, and if possible let me know when you expect to have an answer?
Thank you
David Gee

Dear Ministry of Defence,

I have yet to receive a reply to my request or my chasing message, sent nearly a month ago. Please reply if you can by the end of this week. I don't want to make a formal complaint but I will have to go down that route if I do not get an update soon - I hope you'll send one.

Thank you

David Gee

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Can you please send me an update on the progress of this request?

I hope to hear something tomorrow, even if it's to say you need more time. I understand if you're very busy at the moment.

If I don't hear from you I will begin the complaints process on Friday, though I would rather not go down that route.

Thank you

David Gee

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Defence's handling of my FOI request 'Health and safety guidelines for Army Foundation College'.

I made the request on 19 February 2019, sent a chasing message on 22 March, another on 15 April, and another on 24 April, none of which received a reply of any kind, even one to explain that more time was needed to reply in full.

I don't mind waiting if you need more time to answer the request, but I would like to kept in touch with what is happening, as a response is now more than a month overdue.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/h...

Thank you in advance for your attention to this.

Good afternoon Mr Gee,

Thank you for your email. The Department always endeavours to respond to Freedom Of Information requests within the set 20 working day timescale, but unfortunately this is not always possible.

I would like to apologise that on this occasion we have had to delay responding to your request. I would like to assure you that your request for information is still being considered and that we endeavour to respond to you as soon as possible, certainly no later than the end of May 2019.

Kind regards,

Army Secretariat

Dear Ministry of Defence,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Ministry of Defence's handling of my FOI request 'Health and safety guidelines for Army Foundation College'. A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/h...

You will see that the original request was made on 20 February.

After not hearing from you after 20 working days, I asked for an update on 22 March.

I still heard nothing from you, so I asked again on 15 April.

Still nothing, so I asked again on 24 April.

After I still did not hear from you, I requested an internal review on 29 April. You wrote back on 30 April, not to explain why you had not responded to date, only to say that I would 'certainly' receive a response to my request by the end of May.

It is now 11 June and I have yet to hear from you, almost four months from the date the request was made.

I hope you will agree that you have fallen well short of your legal duty to respond under the Act, and failed also in the common courtesy of keeping me informed.

Can you please now provide a response to my request?

Thank you

David Gee
