Unfortunately we are unable to send you information for every school year
as EduBase is a live database and it reflects only the current position.
In order to assist, I have previously provided you with a file that
included details of all open establishments. The information in this file
can be combined with details of closed establishments to re-create the
position as at any date you wish. Details of closed establishments are
available in the “All EduBase data” file that can be downloaded form the
“Data Downloads” section on the homepage of the EduBase website:

Dear ACCOUNT, Unmonitored,

I do not understand your following statement
"I have previously provided you with a file that included details of all open establishments. The information in this file can be combined with details of closed establishments to re-create the position as at any date you wish. Details of closed establishments are available in the “All EduBase data” file."

Please clarify. I do not know how to get the headteacher names from 2000 to 2016.

Dear Mr Metcalfe

Please clarify.  I do not know how to get the headteacher names from 2000
to 2016.”

On the 18 September 2017 EduBase was replaced by Get Information about
Schools (GIAS).

The file previously supplied can be combined with the All establishment
data file that can be downloaded from GIAS here:
[1]https://get-information-schools.service....

This will allow you to find the last Headteacher name recorded for an
individual school but GIAS is a live database and it reflects either the
current position or the position at the time a school closed. GIAS does
not hold all previous Headteacher names, so while you could find the head
name at the time of closure, if held, you would not be able to find all
the previous head teacher names.

Further information on the terms used within this file can be found in the
Get Information about Schools glossary:
