Can you please answer the following questions with regards to this freedom of information request.
1. How many complaints have been made by Service Users stating that the Social Worker that they are dealing with reference to child protection and adult services is not registered with the HCPC .? please give statistics for the past 12 calendar months.
2. How many Social Workers have been identified as not being registered with the HCPC but who are actually practicing and working within the Local Authority ? please give statistics for the past 12 calendar months.
3.. Can you please clarify how the Local Authority would deal with a Social Worker conduct wise if he or she is found not to be registered with the HCPC?
4. How many Social Workers have put reports in to the Family Court arena and then found not to be registered with the HCPC please give statistics for the past 12 calendar months?

We can respond as follows:

 

1. How many complaints have been made by Service Users stating that the
Social Worker that they are dealing with reference to child protection and
adult services is not registered with the HCPC .? please give statistics
for the past 12 calendar months.

 

-  We have not recorded any complaints about children's social workers or
social workers in Adults Social Care not being registered with the HCPC

 

2. How many Social Workers have been identified as not being registered
with the HCPC but who are actually practicing and working within the Local
Authority ? please give statistics for the past 12 calendar months.

 

- We are not aware of any children's social worker who is actually
practising and working without HCPC registration during the last 12
months.  Adults Social Care also confirm that all its social workers are
registered.

 

3. Can you please clarify how the Local Authority would deal with a Social
Worker conduct wise if he or she is found not to be registered with the
HCPC?

 

- All social work duties are immediately removed. A risk assessment is
carried out to determine the reasons for the lack of registration and any
mitigating circumstances. Based on the findings of the risk assessment,
further action is carried out according to the stipulations of any policy
that has been breached.

4. How many Social Workers have put reports in to the Family Court arena
and then found not to be registered with the HCPC please give statistics
for the past 12 calendar months?

- 0
