Hauxley mine pumping post August 2017

Ivor Rackham made this Freedom of Information request to The Coal Authority

Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

The request was successful.

Dear The Coal Authority,

Since my previous request in August 2017, there was significant pumping of water from the Hauxley mine onto the beach. This corresponded with a short term ceasing of flooding at the allotments in Low Hauxley.

Please would you release the following information.

The water levels in the mine between August 2017 and August 2020
Details of any findings related to the pumping of the water from the mine including but not restricted to:
chemical analysis of the water pumped from the mine,
and the quantity of water pumped from the mine,
and whether any ecological tests were carried out to measure the impact of the mine water on the immediate coastal environment, and if so, the results of those tests.

Yours faithfully,

Ivor Rackham
