Hate Stats
Dear Hertfordshire Constabulary,
This FOI request is seeking information in relation to recorded hate crimes and hate crime incidents for the two-year period from January 1st 2022 until December 31st 2023.
For the avoidance of doubt I require each year to be detailed separately so for each year separately (2022 and 2023) please provide details of:
A. The total number of recorded hate crimes with them also being classified by reference to each ‘hate element’ separately (i.e. ‘race’, ‘disability’ etc).
B. For the hate crimes tagged with the hate element of transgender, gender expression, gender reassignment, transphobia or any similar terminology, the number of crimes for each crime type (e.g. Assault with injury, Assault without injury etc.) (for the avoidance of doubt, also provided separately by year).
C. The total number of non-crime hate incidents recorded for each year again classified by the relevant ‘hate element’.
D. For the non-crime hate incidents tagged with the hate element of transgender, gender expression, gender reassignment, transphobia or any similar terminology, the specific type of incident referred to and relevant details of each incident.
