Hate crime convictions

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner.

According to your latest newsletter "Hate Crime conviction rate statistics for Sussex Police speak for themselves with a 92.7% conviction rate for cases reaching court – making it the third most successful force in England and Wales".

I wish to know:

(a) The number of hate crimes that were reported to Sussex Police,

(b) the number of cases - not statistics - that reached the courts,

(c) and the number - not statistics - where a conviction was the result.

Thank you

Yours faithfully,

Eric Waters
