Dear Police Service of Northern Ireland,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Police Service of Northern Ireland's handling of my FOI request 'Harrison Report into Kincora Boys Home'.

I beleive that the public interest is overwhelmingly in the direction of publishing the information redacted and this would overcome some factors favouring retention.Furthermore i do not belive that you have consulted victims who in my experience are OVERWHELMINGLY in favour of the truth coming out.
Investigations have had decades to bring charges and have failed to do so. Please tell me which investigations are happening now.
Further in view of the importance of this issue at the moment it is in the public interest to publish, otherwise I beleive the Police are guilty of deliberately hiding the information as they were complicit in covering up child abuse at the time.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/h...

Yours faithfully,

Cathy Fox

Dear Police Service of Northern Ireland,

Please could you tell me why PSNI have not been able to comply with the law. It appears to be becoming a habit with PSNI

Yours faithfully,

Police Service of Northern Ireland

Dear Ms Fox,

I would like to advise you that the 20 working day timeframe for completing internal reviews is not a legal requirement but rather one of good practice as recommended by the Information Commissioner's Office.

The delay is due to increased workloads on staff and whilst PSNI endeavour to try and complete internal reviews within the first timescale provided, unfortunately this is not always possible, which is why you were sent the update below.

Please accept my apology for any inconvenience caused by this delay.

Yours sincerely,

C. Morris
