Harrison Drive/Bayswater Road cycle lanes
Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,
Please provide the costs (Including VAT, charges and other disbursements) for the installation of segregated cycle lanes on Harrison Drive/Bayswater Road.
Please provide the 'baseline' data for useage of this route and the details of when the scheme will be evaluated
Yours faithfully,
Cllr. Ian Lewis
Dear Councillor Lewis
Thank you for your enquiry regarding Harrison Drive/Bayswater Road cycle
scheme.
The budget for the Harrison Drive / Bayswater Road scheme from Active
Travel Tranche 2 is £181,200. As some minor works are still to be carried
out on site the final cost cannot yet be provided. Once these works are
complete, the contractor will submit their final application for payment.
Once this application for payment is agreed, we will be able to provide
the final total cost.
In relation to the baseline data we are unable to share the data at this
point in time as we are currently confirming the validation of the data
with the provider prior to release. We are currently in discussions with
the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the accountable body for
the ATF2 programme on an agreed methodology for the monitoring of the
scheme.
The exemption at Section 22 of the Act, ‘information intended for future
publication’, therefore applies as there is a settled intention to release
it into the public domain once the data is validated. We have considered
whether or not it would be in the public interest to disclose the
information to you and whilst disclosure would assist with transparency
and trust in the operations of local government, we believe that there is
a greater public interest in ensuring accuracy and that the data is
properly verified prior to its release.
You have the right under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000
to ask for an internal review of this decision. Please direct your request
to [1][Wirral Borough Council request email] and your request will be allocated
for review. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome of an internal review
you also have the right to complain to the information Commissioner, who
can be contacted at [2]https://ico.org.uk/global/contact-us/
