Thank you for your information request, received on 11/6/2020. Please find
our response as follows:

 

May I please have the number of hardship fund requests received, accepted,
rejected, and the total amount awarded for the last 12 months including
this month of June, categorised by month?

 

Hardship fund applications (financial assessment carried out) = 512

 

Hardship fund applications approved = 364

 

Hardship fund applications rejected  = 148

 

Total amount awarded for Hardship fund applications = £431,973

 

These figures correspond to the last 12 months of applications up until
June 2020.

 

We are unable to provide a monthly breakdown as this information is only
held in hard copy on campus, which is currently inaccessible due to
closure for the pandemic.

 

 

If you are unhappy with the way your request for information has been
handled, you can request an internal review within 40 days of the date of
