H100 Engineering Admissions Statistics 2019-2021

The request was partially successful.

Dear Christ's College, Cambridge,

Under the FOIA, I request the following statistics about home applicants to H100 Engineering at Christ's College:

- The distribution of ENGAA and interview scores of all applicants to the college

- The distribution of ENGAA and interview scores of offer holders

- The distribution of ENGAA and interview scores of unsuccessful applicants

I request this data for the 2019, 2020 and 2021 entry UCAS cycles. I wish for the distributions to include the mean, median, minimum, maximum, lower quartile and upper quartile of scores. If you are unable to provide some of this information, please include an explanation.

Yours faithfully,

Dennis Granger

Bursar's Assistant,

Dear Mr Granger

We do not retain records of unsuccessful applicants to the College beyond the Admissions Cycle in which they apply; this includes applicants who received an offer but who were subsequently rejected or withdrew. Therefore, we are only able to provide you with information relating to Home applicants whose places were confirmed at Christ's in 2019 and 2020, as below. The information includes overall assessor scores rather than interview scores (which we do not retain); it does not include information about the distribution of scores since we do not have records relating to the gathered field.

Given the small numbers admitted in both 2019 and 2020 we are not able to provide you with individual scores as we are required to protect the personal data of potentially identifiable individuals. We have therefore provided the data within ranges.

2019:
Aggregate assessment scores ranged from 23.3 to 30.2
Assessor scores ranged from 8 to 9.5

2020:
Aggregate assessment scores ranged from 20.3 to 27
Assessor scores ranged from 8 to 9

We have not finished considering applications for 2021 and will not complete the offer-making process until August.

Yours sincerely

Bursar’s Assistant
Christ’s College
