Enquiries, Unit, Environment Agency

Good Afternoon Matt,

Thank you for contacting the Environment Agency.

I have spoken with our Freedom of Information requests team and they ask if Gunnislake Fisheries has more than the one registered address listed with Companies House?

If they have sites in more than one region this will make the request a National Request, if not it will be regional.

If you could get back to us as soon as possible we will endeavour to process your request as fast as possible. Once the Freedom of Information team have the additional information they have 20 working days in which to reply.

Thanks again, please get in touch if you have any questions.

Dear Matt,

Many thanks for you enquiry regarding Gunnislake Fisheries. In order for
us to help you further can I ask that you be a little more specific with

send your enquiry to the correct team. Also over what time period would
you like us to look?

Dear Jo Hallett,
The company in question owns large stretches of the River Tamar. This includes land adjacent to the EA monitoring facility at Gunnislake Weir. I am looking for all communication with them, including information about access, invasive species, flooding, salmon and any other communication which the EA would have with a major river owner such them. Hopefully this will help you find the correct team.

If you need to restrict the time period, can you provide it from 2005 to date.

Yours sincerely,

Matt Kane

Dear Lorna

This request comes from "Whatdotheyknow.com", so will go straight on their
website.  Can you check that this ack is OK - see below.  Also, I have
attached the request and some information. Our response will include a
Flood Defence consent which is not Public Register.  Can you please let me
know what can go out from the Flood Defence Consent file - this may take a
day to go through. ie. does everything in the consent file need to be
disclosed with the consultees comments included? Can these be withheld
under any of the exemptions?

Could you call me to discuss it please.  As this is going  on the web, I
need to be doing it right.  Many thanks,

Maggie

Dear Matt

RE: Request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
(FOIA) / Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR)

We refer to your request for information regarding Communication between
the Environment Agency and Gunnislake Fisheries.

Requests for information that is recorded are generally governed by the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).The information you have requested
is environmental and it is therefore exempted from the provisions of FOIA
by FOIA s.39(1). We are therefore considering your request under the
provisions of the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR).

We calculated that our response was due on 8 December 2011. However due to
the complexity and volume of information requested, it is impracticable
either to comply with the request within that period or to make a decision
to refuse to do so.

We are therefore extending the period within which we will respond from 20
working days to 27 working days. We calculate therefore that our response
is due by 20 December 2011. We will of course endeavour to respond to you
before then if we can.

If you are not satisfied with our decision not to supply the requested
information within 20 working days, you can contact us to ask for our
decision to be reviewed. If you are still not satisfied following this,
you can then make an appeal to the Information Commissioner, who is the
statutory regulator for Freedom of Information. The address is: Office of
the Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow,
Cheshire SK9 5AF. Tel: 01625 545700.
