Gulf Veterans Compensation

Graeme MacDonald made this Freedom of Information request to Prime Minister’s Office

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was refused by Prime Minister’s Office.

Dear Prime Minister’s Office,

Having watched Prime Ministers questions dated wednesday 16th of october a member of the house started a questionby saying “The PM has a historic record of righting wrongs of the past".
I would like to put this acclaim to the test.
The PM was quick to sing the praises of the High Courts when they ruled in the governments favour in relation to prisoners voting rights, however when in july of this year the same High Courts refused the government the right to appeal in relation to the existance of Gulf War Syndrome the PM ignored the courts ruling & continues to deny compensation to gulf veterans who are now suffering from illnesses as a direct result of being forced to accept untested illegal vaccines .
I must point out that these vaccines had NOT undergone any human testing nor were british forces offered these vaccines on a voluntary basis,as stated on MOD website. THIS STATEMENT IS A LIE & should be removed from MOD websites.
Is it not now time to right this wrong on a no fault basis and authorise compensation payments to these unfortunate veterans. Have they not suffered enough over all these years of ignorance & denial by succesive goverments whom they served with total loyalty & trust.
Over to you Prime Minister are you going to right this terrible wrong, remember hundreds of thousands of voters are browsing this site every day,& expect you to do what is morally right.
Yours faithfully,

Graeme MacDonald

Dear FOI Team - Cabinet Office [Restricted],
I have already sent a letter to the address that you have supplied over 2 months ago which you have clearly thrown in the bin & ignored me.
You are now telling me to email another address which clearly states that due to large volume of mail you may not reply to.
I shall now take this matter to my MP.
IGNORANCE & DENIAL WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
TRUTH & JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL.
Yours sincerely,

Graeme MacDonald
