Please find the response to your FOI request below;
1. Provide me all documents, briefings, emails, communications to newly
elected councillors following the Local Elections relating to them
beginning their new role.
Response
We provide all newly elected councillors with a Welcome Pack and an iPad
at the Count (just after they have signed their Acceptance of Office
form). The contents of the Welcome Pack from 2023 are attached. They are
also asked to complete various forms (attached).
They are also invited to an induction programme and are sent an email
advising them about external sources of information and support e.g. the
LGA.
If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a review you should contact:

The complaints/review procedure involves a full review by the Information
Governance Manager.

It is our usual practice to accept a request for an internal review made
within 40 working days from the date that we have issued a response to a
request.
We are not obliged to accept internal reviews after this date.
If you are not content with the outcome of our conclusion, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner's Office for a decision before
contacting the Council. Generally, the ICO cannot make a decision unless
you have exhausted the Council's own complaints procedure.
