FriedrichM, Angus Council

Dear Ms Hardy

Request for Information

Thank you for your request for information dated 10 May 2019 (received by
the Council on 13 May 2019) which has been passed to me for attention.

You have requested the following information:

Please provide a copy of the guidance issued to council staff in the use
of plastics, including but not limited to the placing of laminated public
notices attached to lampposts, the use of cable ties for that and other
purposes, and the guidance on the removal of all such materials and
avoidance of their loss and consequent environmental damage. When
providing this information please confirm the date of issue and how the
dissemination to staff who maybe performing such tasks is confirmed.

Further, please provide a copy of the checking process employed to monitor
that all such plastic materials have been retrieved and accounted for once
their use is finalised.

In terms of Reg 10(4)(a) of the Environmental Information (Scotland)
Regulations 2004 I would advise that the council does not hold a guidance
document specifically for council staff in the way your request would seem
to assume. There is currently no checking process for this.

I hope that this information is of some help to you. Please note that the
information contained in this reply is believed to be accurate as of
today's date (unless otherwise indicated) but no warranty is given.
Further, Angus Council does not accept liability for any loss, injury or
damage which arises from the use of the information contained in this
reply either by you or by any other party. Please refer to the information
set out below which explains your right to complain if you are unhappy
with how the Council has dealt with your request. If you have any queries,
please contact me on 01307 491992 or e-mail
[1][Angus Council request email]

Yours sincerely

Martin Friedrich
