Dear Rachel Service,
Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FoI) request received on 4 December. You 
wrote:
“Thank you for your response. However, the only guidance you provided on closing ESA 
claims appears to be for when a claimant asks for their claim to be closed. I was asking 
about Managed Migration - so where ESA claims are closed due to a claim for UC (or 
because the claimant has missed their 'final deadline') ie a stop notice has been sent. 
Please can you provide the relevant guidance.”
