Guest list

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Foreign and Commonwealth Office should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Foreign and Commonwealth Office,

Please could I see a guest list and any briefings given to the foreign minister or correspondence regarding the Reception with Republican Political Operatives at the Ambassador’s Residence, mentioned in the document released as part of FOI request 1122-19.

Yours faithfully,

Dr Emma L Briant

Dear Foreign and Commonwealth Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Foreign and Commonwealth Office's handling of my FOI request 'Guest list'.

Please could you look into this further. It seems that the identities of at least most of those on the guest list should be possible to reveal in a democracy as they would be publicly known figures - political operatives, public servants and elected officials, there are no security implications and it is in the public interest to reveal such meetings.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/g...

Dr Emma L Briant

Dear Foreign and Commonwealth Office,

Please could I ask on what grounds the subcategory of guests were considered notable and the reasons they were added to a separate list in this way, how was the list intended to be used please - it implies that there were reasons important to our understanding of UK foreign policy. I would be grateful for this clarification.

Yours faithfully,

Dr Emma L Briant
