Grounds Maintenance Contract
Dear FOI Team,
I would be most grateful if you would provide me, under the Freedom of Information Act, details in respect to contract(s) you have or will be bringing to tender for grounds maintenance, environmental services and similar.
The details I politely request are:
• What are the current plans moving forward in regards to obtaining suppliers for grounds maintenance (and similar) services?
• What are the contractual performance KPI's for this contract?
• Do you feel the contractual performance KPI's are being met by the current supplier?
• Suppliers who applied for inclusion on each framework/contract and were successful & not successful at the PQQ & ITT stages
• Actual spend on this contract/framework (and any sub lots), from the start of the contract to the current date
• Start date & duration of framework/contract?
• Could you please provide a copy of the service/product specification given to all bidders for when the contracts were last advertised?
• Is there an extension clause in the framework(s)/contract(s) and, if so, the duration of the extension?
• Has a decision been made yet on whether the framework(s)/contract(s) are being either extended or renewed?
• Who is the senior officer (outside of procurement) responsible for this contract?
Thank you for your help.
Yours sincerely
Charlie Burton

Dear foi,
This is a polite prompt to yourselves to respond as by law, you should normally have responded promptly and by 27th April 2023.
Yours sincerely,

Good morning Mr Burton
Apologies for the delay. I have gathered the information that you have requested, but I'm trying to establish if this will require third party consultation prior to release. I will be back in touch as soon as possible when this has been clarified.
Kind regards

Dear Information Governance,
Please can I have an update on this. This was, by law, suppose to have been responded to by 27th April, and we are now on 15th May 2023.
Yours sincerely,
Charlie Burton
Good morning Mr Burton
Apologies for the delay. There has been some confusion because we currently have two FOI requests from yourself which appear to be the same. The two reference numbers are:
FOI-106330-2023 (submitted 28/3/2023) and
FOI-118198-2023 (submitted 24/4/2023)
The first request was dealt with slightly differently because it was received when Cumbria County Council still existed, whereas the later one was allocated to different officers working for the new Westmorland and Furness Council.
I'm just waiting to receive the Service Specification document to finalise the response for the first request, which I'm hoping to send out to you this week. This will relate to the information which was available prior to the Local Government Reorganisation on 1st April.
With regard to the second request, this is currently being looked into and will relate to information available since 1st April.
Once again, apologies for the delay.
Kind regards
Katherine Dalgliesh
