Dear London North West Healthcare NHS Trust,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of London North West Healthcare NHS Trust's handling of my FOI request 'Grievance procedure and complaints raised under the grievance procedure'.

In my FOI request which was headed "Grievance procedure and complaints raised under the grievance procedure" I requested a copy of the staff grievance procedure and then the number of complaints raised in each calendar year. This quite clearly relates to complaints raised by staff under the staff grievance procedure.

Your response does not make it clear whether these are the statistics that you have provided me with.

In addition you state that all complaints are accepted (non are rejected or dismissed). I cannot believe that all complaints from staff are automatically accepted under your grievance procedure.

Could you kindly clarify is this is indeed the case.

I must apologies if my request was not as clear as it could have been.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/g...

Yours faithfully,

Peter C. Bell

Mr Bell

Review of FOI Request Reference 524-15

London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is writing in response to your request for a review dated 4th January

We apologise also for misunderstanding your request initially and not providing you with the specific data you were seeking regarding staff grievances only not all complaints.

The Trust can confirm that these were the accepted and recorded staff grievance cases in the specific years you were seeking;

2012 there were 15 Grievance cases
2013 there were 18 Grievance cases
2014 there were 24 Grievance cases

Please note that the Trust went through a merge in 2014 where Ealing Hospital was merged with Northwich Park and Central Middlesex Hospitals. The numbers are therefore combined data
