I am responding to your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000,
which we received on 17 June 2017, for information held by the Council.
You requested:

 

Please advise the names of the insurers of Grenfell Tower and other blocks
under the control or ownership of RBKC.

 

Also advise the names of the re-insurers, their place of domicile and
country of origin.

In addition the length of insurance and the nature of the cover provided.

 

With regards to the building  insurance arrangements for Grenfell Towers
and other tenanted housing properties under the control or ownership of
RBKC, I can confirm that the RBKC holds property cover with Protector
Insurance, 20th floor, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester, M1 4BT.

The council do not hold any information regarding the names of the
re-insurers.

 

This policy is renewable at 1st April each year and is currently in force
to 31th March 2018.

 

The policy is a standard property damage cover which included cover for
the following perils:

 

Fire, Explosion, Aircraft, Riot and Civil Commotion, Earthquake, Storm or
Flood, Escape of Water, Impact, and Accidental Damage.

 

Complaints
