Grenfell
Dear Information Team,
I would like to request the following information under the freedom of information act.
I would like to know how much money in contracts from the council has been given to the following companies since July 2017: Kingspan and Rydon .
Following the Grenfell fire how many council tower blocks (over 18 meters high) were identified as having flammable cladding (likely made from aluminium composite material).
How many of these high rises still have flammable cladding?
How many other council-owned buildings, under 18m, currently have flammable cladding? I would like this broken down into building type - school, hospital ect
If clarification is needed do not hesitate to get in touch.
Yours faithfully,
Luke Chafer

Following the Grenfell fire how many council tower blocks (over 18 meters

How many of these high rises still have flammable cladding?
We have one tower block that has ACM cladding. There is a presence of some
combustible materials in the cladding and remedial works are required such
as cavity barrier repairs, rectification and communal corridor fire safety
doors. The necessary remediation project is currently underway, led by
our team at Sutton Housing Partnership, our housing management/services
provider. In the interim, we have already taken proactive measures to
ensure the safety of the residents. We have carried out Fire Risk
Assessments of External Walls (FRAEW PAS9980) to guide SHP on the required
works. In addition, there are annual Fire Risk Assessments with all
recommended remedial works and actions being completed. Sprinklers were
installed in homes in 2015/2016, the fire alarm system has been upgraded,
and all systems are hard-wired with 24-hour call centre support.
Additionally, we have implemented overnight fire patrols to monitor the
communal areas of the building, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
How many other council-owned buildings, under 18m, currently have
flammable cladding? I would like this broken down into building type -
school, hospital etc
We are not aware of any buildings with flammable cladding that fall into
this category.
