London Fire Brigade

Dear Andrew,

Thank you for your request for information about the Grenfell Tower fire. I have set our response to the questions you have raised below.

1 Have you completed a interim fire report ref the grenfel fire.
No - The Brigade is compiling information for the Public Inquiry (https://www.grenfelltowerinquiry.org.uk/), but no report (interim or otherwise) has been produced to date.

2 How long did this take can you provide the start and finish date to complete this report.
The report(s) is not finished. The Brigade does not hold an exact date as to when the report(s) was started, but information relevant to the fire was gathered from the moment of the first call.

3 Will you publish this report if so when will you do this and why is their a delay use the law and examples of when this will be published.
The report is primarily being produced for the Inquiry and it is possible that the Inquiry will make its details (or part of the details) public through the course of the Inquiry. After the Inquiry has concluded it business, the Brigade will consider what information and what reports it should make available to the public (subject to the status of the ongoing Police investigations).

4 does the inquiry in to the grenfel fire need your report will you give them the report if so when if not why not in the interests of public safety isnt it a good idea to share this with other councils so they can prevent similar deaths and issues.
As set out above, our report is primarily being written to inform the Inquiry.

5 If there are criminal offences going to take place out of this grenfel fire issue why wont you publish the interim fire report to the public to educate the public the housing providers and the contractors of what you have learned surely this will save lifes.
The criminal investigation is being lead by the Metropolitan Police Service. Whilst their investigation is ongoing we wont release any information into the public which we, or they, feel would prejudice their investigations (see ICO Decision Notice FS50712722). If there are lessons to be learnt from the Grenfell Tower Fire then the Brigade will take all the steps it can to take immediate remedial safety actions as soon as those actions are identified.

6 Do you agree disagree with the current rules laws in delaying reports which may save lives ? who make up these rules if so comments please.
Please specify which laws you are referring to as I am unaware of any such legislation.

7 When will the public know the truth about the fire will it be months or years ?
Information about the work of the Inquiry, including when reports may be issued, can be found on the Inquiry's website (https://www.grenfelltowerinquiry.org.uk/...)

I hope this information is useful to you.
