I can confirm that Middlesbrough Council holds the information you
requested.

 

Middlesbrough Council is unable to proceed with your request without
clarification of the information you wish to receive.  To help us do so,
we would like to know what period of timescale you are referring to in
terms of Acklam Hall as the hall was sold to private investors several
years ago?

 

Please note that if we do not receive appropriate clarification of your

I am writing to confirm that Middlesbrough Council has now completed its
search for the information you clarified on 13^th December 2018. In your
request you asked for the following information:

 

How many trees were cut down around Acklam Hall and now Centre Square
development?

 

The information required is Acklam Hall  period 2007-to dare Centre Square
2017 to date

 

Response:   

 

Acklam Hall:

 

Around 230 trees were removed from Acklam Hall. The vast majority were
removed due to danger, death and disease and around 30 were removed to
enable development.

 

Centre Square:

 

Central Gardens and the former Register Office sites (which form part of
the wider Centre Square development), the submitted tree reports identify
the below totals.

 

Development on the site of the former Register Office (Planning Ref No.
17/0193/FUL) "Of the 25 trees surveyed, eight young to early mature trees
will be removed to facilitate the development and will be replaced like
for like within the landholding"

 

Development on Central Gardens (Planning Ref No. 17/0194/FUL) "Of the 32
trees and 2 characteristic tree groups surveyed, 25 young to early mature
trees and 2 groups of trees will be removed to facilitate the development
and will be replaced like for like within the landholding"
