Green number plate incentives

The request was successful.

Dear Warwick District Council,

On 8 December 2020 the UK government launched a green number plate scheme, which it said could help "motorists benefit from local initiatives such as cheaper parking and cost-free entry into zero-emission zones.”

Please could you tell me if you have implemented any policies since 8 December that benefit owners of green number plates (yes or no). If the answer is yes, please could you list the names of the policies/measures.

Yours faithfully,

Adam Vaughan

which it said could help "motorists benefit from local initiatives such as

Thank you for your enquiry, in short our answer is no.

However I would like to add that we have had a one year trial scheme
offering free parking for EVs since August 2020, not specifically for
green number plates but for BEVs only.  This is coming to a close shortly
and we have plans to introduce further incentives for them.  Additionally
we now have a large number of extra EV chargepoints installed in a number
of our car parks since March 2021 with options to charge for free in the
evenings.

I hope the above information is of help and answers your enquiry.

You have the right to request that the District Council carry out an
internal review if you are not satisfied with the way your request was
dealt with or wish to appeal the decision.  A request for an internal
review should be made in writing and addressed to me at the address
above.  All requests for an internal review will be dealt with under the
District Council’s internal review procedure.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the internal review you may
appeal to the Information Commissioner’s Office, at the following address:
