1. Can you tell me how many residents in Brighton and Hove are currently awaiting delivery of a new or replacement wheelie bin/recycling box (as of July 23)?
At the end of business 18 August 2014 there were 694 orders outstanding. The oldest order outstanding is dated 2 June 2014
2. Is it possible to get a breakdown by council ward where each new bin/box is required?
I am sorry we do not hold information by council ward however we have information relating to the following areas,
275 requests for Hangelton, Hove, Portslade, Mile Oak and West Blatchington areas
35 requests for Westdean, Withdean, Tongdean, London Road (left side)
226 requests Patcham, Hollingdean, Coldean, London Road (right side)
158 requests Central Brighton, Kemptown, Queens Park, Bevendean and Moulsecoombe
38 requests Whitehawk, Woodingdean, Ovingdean, Rottingdean and Saltdean
3. Can you tell me how many requests for new bins/boxes have been successfully delivered to residents up to June 30 this year?
Completed deliveries January to June 2014 - 3675
4. Can you tell me how many requests for new bins/boxes have been successfully delivered to residents up to June 30 in 2013?
I am unable to provide you with the number of deliveries from January to June 2013 as the Environment Contact Centre implemented a new computer system from end of June to log and record deliveries for all service requests which includes wheelie bin and box requests. I am unable to access the data on the previous system that was being used.
However here are the number of completed deliveries between July to December 2013 - 2267
5. Can you tell me what are the top three current longest outstanding requests for a new bin/box and if possible which streets these residents are based in?
Brunswick Square, Adelaide Crescent and Shirley Street – these were all requested 2 June 2014.
