Grants/Funding/Donations/Awards etc. to Voluntary/Charity Organisations
Dear Sir or Madam,
Could you please provide a breakdown of ALL the Grants/Funding/Donations/Awards etc. given by Leicester City Council & your associated partners to Voluntary / Charity Organisations within the past three years.
What I would like are the names and details of what the organisations do, their registered address, what they had requested the funding for and the amounts awarded.
Yours faithfully,
Tony Gerrard

Dear Sir

Sara Jane Owens
Leicester City Council
Dear Sara-Jane Owens,
Further to your response, this is to note how extremely disappointed I am by your response. Not only did you not bother responding by the statutory deadline (I had to ask several times after the deadline & it was forwarded to the relevant Service Director) finally I get told you do not have the information in a single place and that it would cost over £450 to collect! This took over 2 months and several email request to realise???
What I had asked for is the Grants/Funding/Donations/Awards etc. given by Leicester City Council & your associated partners to Voluntary / Charity Organisations within the past three years. What Leicester City Council is telling me is that you do not have the records in an easily obtainable file where this money has gone. If this is the case, it is absolutely shocking. Very simply, at the very least you should be able to provide me with is £x has gone to (y) organisation for … x purpose.
I again ask for this to be reconsidered and the information to be sent! If you are unable to do this, please arrange for a meeting whereby I can discuss this matter in person along with my MP to show him the current state of financial mess operating without governance the council is in. Also what can I get under the £450 limit?
If I do not hear back from you by 17th July 09, I shall have little choice other then to request an internal review and complain to the Information Commissioner & my local MP.
Yours sincerely,
Irfan Patel
