Re: Information Request – Grange-over-Sands Lido

Thank you for your email on 31 December in which you requested the

I have been working on your request and looking into gathering any
information that falls within scope, and it has become apparent that your
request involves a number of teams and subject matters. So that I am clear
as to what information you are most interested in, please could you
clarify whether you would like information regarding the Listing of the
Lido at grade II, or correspondence involving particular planning
application/s, or both? If it is possible to provide any planning
application reference numbers that would be helpful. South Lakeland
District Council provides an application search function on their website:

[1]https://www.southlakeland.gov.uk/plannin...

Please could you also provide a data range for your request. As I am sure
you can appreciate it is currently very broad and as the listing was made
in 2011 we have records going back 8 years or so.

Please be aware that I am unable to progress your request further until I
receive clarification. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest
convenience and please be assured your request will be prioritised once
clarification is received.

Yours sincerely,

Jenny Pearson

Dear Jennifer Pearson,
Thank you for your response. To be honest I thought my request was clear: I am interested in all contact between SLDC and HE. This includes anything from the 2011 listing (along with any correspondence ahead of that listing) and all matters since 2011. I am trying to compile a complete picture of all activity involving the lido. My request said, "In particular this should include, but not be limited to, information exchanged between HE and South Lakeland District Council, and/or agents acting on their behalf, regarding the Lido and including any plans for changes to be made, work carried out, or plans submitted about the Lido." I have already checked the SLDC website and have copies of the plans they have listed there that involve the lido (SL/2014/0771, SL/2015/0711, SL/2014/0985, SL/2014/0986 - all were minor changes, i.e. picture boards and railings) but I am interested especially in any discussion and correspondence about the council's plans for the Lido site as a whole, and any advice that has been supplied to SLDC about the future of the Lido site especially in respect of filling in the basin on a temporary or permanent basis, which would appear to be contrary to its listed status. I hope this helps you to complete my FOI request.
Yours sincerely,
Anne Nichols
