Graduate Work Experience During Course

Ryan Millward made this Freedom of Information request to London School of Economics

The request was successful.

Dear London School of Economics,

May I request if you have data on how many of your current third-year undergraduates have completed course-related work experience over the length of their course. SGL has one of the highest rates of graduate employment this year and I am aiming to find out whether this has a connection with work experience during the course i.e. industry placements, vacations and general work experience.

Yours faithfully,

Ryan Millward

Dear London School of Economics,

To specify, can I make clear that I mean final year undergraduates rather than third year students, as I'm aware some of your courses may be longer or shorter than three years.

Yours faithfully,

Ryan Millward

Dear Ryan,

We haven't received your original request on this topic. We received the request on the amount of male/female first year students.

Dear London School of Economics,

I'm not sure why that would be but the original request, now edited, reads:

May I request if you have data on how many of your current final-year undergraduates have at some point completed course-related work experience over the length of their course. LSE has one of the highest rates of graduate employment this year and I am aiming to find out whether this has a connection with work experience during the course i.e. industry placements, vacations and general work experience.

Yours faithfully,
