Dear Mr Greenwood,

I write to acknowledge receipt of your Freedom of Information request dated 27 April 2023. Taking your question in the round, I have identified information which relates to the form, conduct, voting and similar governance matters related to the grace on fossil fuels generated by relevant members of the of the college assuming they act in the relevant capacity you scope into your request, unless it is clear that it was written in that capacity. In relation to the requirement to exempt information under section 40(2) I have redacted information identifying trustees or third parties with the redaction 'CC' for college council trustees and '3P' as a third parties. I have also included only one copy of a forwarded email if the sender and recipient are the same or it otherwise makes sense not to duplicate them. Some information is exempt under s21 as it is in the public domain, for example reports, flysheets, the grace.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your request and wish to make a complaint or request a review of this decision, you should write to the Senior Bursar, Gonville & Caius College, Trinity Street, Cambridge, CB2 1TA who will then assign an appropriate person to conduct the internal review. If subsequently you are not content with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the Information Commissioner cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the complaints procedure provided by the College.
