GP Practice Managers Contact Info

The request was refused by Leicester City Primary Care Trust (PCT).

Dear Leicester City Primary Care Trust (PCT),

Please can you provide me with the names & email addresses of all Practice Managers in your area.

I appreciate that the names maybe available online via NHS Choices however the email addresses are not but would be acceptable via NHS Mail.

I do not plan to use this information for distribution purposes & would happily accept the information via the post/email or online.

Yours faithfully,

Justin Goodchild

Dear Leicester City Primary Care Trust (PCT),

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Leicester City Primary Care Trust (PCT)'s handling of my FOI request 'GP Practice Managers Contact Info'.

Practice Managers names can be found in the public domain, this is not an issue & very easy for me to find. However email addresses are not easy & not publicly available. The addresses that I want are for the current Practice Managers so if they move roles then that would be in the future, my request is for now. The email addresses are not public domain personal addresses such as yahoo/hotmail etc so they are work related & therefore not governed under "personal" as they are used for work purpose. Furthermore should any personal email addresses be used for work purposes then they should also be governed under the same umbrella as the work related NHS Mail addresses issued as an employee of the NHS. Please review and respond

Dear Leicester City Primary Care Trust (PCT),

I am writing to request an internal review of Leicester City Primary Care Trust (PCT)'s handling of my FOI request 'GP Practice Managers Contact Info'.

nhs mail email addresses are not deemed private therefore they do not fall under said exemption. 25 other PCTs have agreed & posted there information online so do I presume they are all wrong. You have access to them via NHS Mail Directory & I will pursue this line of communication until a positive outcome is reached.

Dear Leicester City Primary Care Trust (PCT),

Please note that one of your documents is totally blank, can you kindly send me the complete file.

Many Thanks for your help

Hi Justin

My apologies - have just checked the email and all attachments appear to be normal. Could you just confirm which doc is blank please - I suspect it is the email distribution list as these can be difficult sometimes to forward.

If it is the list I shall try again.

Many thanks and regards
Jane

Are not GP Practices public contractors? The Responsible person for contacting (for instance, involving confidential material, operational matters, complaints etc.) would naturally be the Practice manager - and especially if they have a publicly provided nhs.net email address.

There have been a number of similar queries re providing 'public office' or public facing personnel. You might be interested in a supportive ruling by the ICO at:
