Thank you for your enquiry received on 3^rd September 2020. which has
been passed to me for comment. In response to the questions raised, our
economic development team have advised that:
1. As lead authority the Town Investment Plan will be submitted by Wirral
Council. However, the Town Deal Board are responsible for agreeing
proposals for potential inclusion within the Plan and influencing the
development of it, prior to submission by the Council. Details of the
Town Deal Board, and its meetings, can be found on the Council’s
2. The Board has held a number of meetings to develop its conceptual
ideas, key themes and emerging project to be included in the Town
Investment Plan. It has also invited input from the public to help
identify priorities. The Board has not yet finalised how it will
utilise the fund.
3. Contracts for commonly required goods and services are undertaken
centrally by Wirral Council’s Corporate Procurement Team. Any contact
