Governance and Planning

The request was successful.

Dear Stopham Parish Meeting,

How many residents are with in the boundaries of the Parish meeting?

How often, when, where and what are the dates of the meetings for the current year 2012/13 for Parish Meetings?

Does the parish have any plans of merging with neighbouring Parish meetings or Parish Councils?

Please provide copies of all the minutes of all the meetings of the Parish meeting for meetings held since 1 January 2010?

Does the Parish have a current and accepted Parish Plan? If not are there any plans to have a Parish Plan or does a version exist in draft form?

Does the Parish have a Neighbourhood Plan? If not are there any plans to have a Neighbourhood Plan or does a version exist in draft form?

Yours faithfully,

J Nelson

Brian Barttelot, Stopham Parish Meeting

Dear Mr Nelson,

We are not used to receiving threatening and impolite demands out of the blue from someone we don't know.

We do not have anyone who " conducts freedom of information reviews ".

If you would be kind enough to let us know who you are, what your status or position is and why you want this information we might be prepared to help you.

Yours faithfully,

Brian Barttelot

Dear Mr Nelson,

Please understand that we are a tiny parish with no resources for dealing with request such as yours. We have never before had any such requests and had been advised that as a Parish Meeting rather than a Council, we did not need to comply with freedom of information requests. However, since being contacted by you and now several others using a similar address, I have contacted the Information Commissoner's Office who say that we should comply. So here is the information you asked for :

1. 67 residents.

2. Meetings held once a year in the Village hall. This year's meeting will be held in March 2013 on a date to be decided.

3. We have no plans to merge with any other Meeting or Council.

4. Minutes of meetings held in 2010,11 & 12 attached.

5. There is no Parish Plan.

6. There is no Neighbourhood Plan.

Note: This parish falls entirely within a private estate which is responsible for planning.

For Mr Ghafoor:

We have never had any freedom of information requests before.

For Mr Paulley :

We do not have any Councillors, clerk or any paid employees to train.

I trust that this gives you all the information you need.

Yours Faithfully,

Brian Barttelot.

Dear Mr. Barttelot,

I would like to thank you for you full and comprehensive reply to my freedom of information request. I appreciate that Stopham is a tiny Parish and that you are likely to be the only person working for the Parish. It is appreciated that you and the Parish are complying with your obligations under the Freedom of Information Act.

Yours sincerely,

J Nelson
