Goverment Funding and fees made
Dear Child Maintenance Service,
There was an article in 2017 saying the Goverment put in £230 million funding into the CMS in 2016 and every month they made £1 million amonth in fees.
Could you break down year to year how much the Goverment funding put in to the CMS and how much fees generated every month in fees they have made.
Could you also confirm how much they spend in post on a year to year sinc 2014?
And also how much the Goverment put into funding the Online Portal.
Yours faithfully,
Jamie Evans

Dear [email address] on behalf of Operations FOI Team,
Thank you for your reply.
I am shocked that there is no running costs from the DWP regarding the CMS but a national Newspaper found these figures. Surely any business knows what the running costs are for there departments.
The above also goes regarding the online portal How can this be true? "Regarding the on line portal, there was no single funding charge raised for the portal as
it was funded and delivered in an iterative approach alongside other I.T releases"
What business would start a process with costs without knowing what the costs are? !!!
Please update the request with the above FOIs please with running costs of the CMS and also the cost of the portal.
Thank you and I look forward to your reply
Yours sincerely,
Jamie Evans
