Dear Mr Guy
I write in connection with your request for information which was received
by this office on 19/04/2017.
I regret to inform you that your request will not be sent to you within
the 20 working day deadline as laid out under the Act. We are still
working on extracting the information necessary to fulfil your request.
I have liaised with our People Management & Learning Department and also
our Finance Department. Unfortuantely, due to their current workload they
are struggling to extract the data in relation to your request and are
still unsure at this time as to whether Section 12 would be engaged.
However, I continue to chase and work with them in trying to resolve this
issue and hope to get a response out to you soon.
I will keep you updated with regards to progress.
I apologise for this delay, and do hope this does not cause any
significant inconvenience.

Dear Devon and Cornwall Constabulary,
That's no a problem I can understand that a number of departments have backlog! All I ask is before engaging section 12 could you email me back to see if there is a way of relieving the burden and reducing overall costs
Enjoy your week.
Yours faithfully,
Aron Guy
Dear Mr Guy
Further to our email correspondence below I have been in communication
with our People Management & Learning Department. They have been
struggling with extracting the requested data and believe it would engage
Section 12. However, they have been able to run a report and try to
extract as much data as possible within the 18 hour limit. This includes
the following:
Staff and Officer roles
Department
Role Title
Full Time Equivalent
Please let me know if you would like to proceed with the above categories
and I can then progress your request. Please note that any Covert roles,
Terrorism roles and Firearms/ARV roles would attract exemptions under
section 31 of the Act. Therefore, would you be happy to ommitt these
categories from your request?
I look forward to hearing from you, should you have any queries please do
not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
Hattie Ashford
