Google Apps for Work contract

The request was partially successful.

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,

HMRC recently confirmed the department is set to move its existing office software from Microsoft to Google Apps for Work. The department stated it is purchasing licences through its existing prime IT contractor Capgemini “at a very competitive cost”.

When was the contract for Google Apps for Work awarded?
What is the value of the contract?
What is the length of the contract in years and/or months?
How many licences is HMRC buying for Google Apps for Work?
Which supplier is Capgemini sourcing the software from? Or is it buying from Google directly?
When will rollout start and finish?
Will this initiative save money? If so, how much?
What contract will this replace? When was it set up, how long was the contract for and how much did it cost, either in total or per annum?

Yours faithfully,

Charlotte Jee
