I refer to your recent request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. I can confirm that the Council does hold this
information, as detailed below.

 

How much money has Sunderland Council spent on purchasing Glyphosate and
spent on applying it throughout Sunderland since May 2021?

Since May 2021 the Council has spent £27,973.58 purchasing glyphosate. It
is applied using the Council’s own trained technicians and therefore no
additional costs are incurred. The highway network treatment is undertaken
by a contractor. The Council’s contract register provides details of this
information.  The contract titles, description, periods, re-tender dates,
contract values and contacts are included in the contract register.

This information has been provided in response to a Freedom of Information
request and this must be acknowledged in any subsequent use of the
information. In addition, the authority must be notified of any proposed
re-use of this information for commercial or other purposes.
