Dear Fojut, Luke (Social Work),

Thanks for the response, much appreciated. This was a question I added to clarify an answer from an earlier FOI where I wasn't specific in my question. This was ref: 20230116-FOI7886147
Date: 16th January 2023

I asked the question : The number of looked after children from Glasgow city council who are being
accommodated via the local authority provider Families for Children

And your response was 537 (includes Children's Unit (Provided) and Foster Care (Provided) (as of 11th
November 2022)

The answer you've given here is 415+113 = 528 :

1. I have interpreted your first question as being how many children were in placements organised by Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (GCHSCP’s) centralised family placement service (Families for Children) as of 11th November 2022. The answer was 415.

2. I have interpreted your second question as being how many children were resident in Children’s Houses run by Glasgow City Council as of 11th November 2022. The answer was 113.

Do you know why there is a slight discrepancy there. Thanks a lot

Yours sincerely,

Joseph Durbidge

Dear Mr Durbridge,

While I cannot categorically answer that question (as the figures are provided by our Reporting team), I note the fact that there was a very slightly different date range for the two requests (the earlier one was figures at 10th November 2022, whereas the more recent one was 11th November 2023). Other than that, perhaps some slight difference to the filters applied to the data set by the individual querying the report used to provide these figures?

Kind regards,

Luke
