GERS 2013-14 FOI/15/01052 recalculated with omissions of spirits and tobacco duty due to disputed values.

The request was refused by Scottish Government.

Dear Scottish Government,

GERS FOI/15/01052
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/2...

"GERS estimates of public sector revenues presented against HMRC
categories (£ million)"

This FOI request relates to GERS 2013-14 and HMRC Tax Receipts and National Insurance Contributions (Nics) calculated on a Geographic base for all regions and countries of the UK.

Please provide GERS estimated HMRC Tax Receipts into UK Consolidated Fund and Nics Receipts into National Insurance Fund using the same table as presented in your FOI/15/01052 reply.

The returned receipt values to at least match at UK level the audited values presented in the Annual reports of the Consolidated Fund and National Insurance Fund

Tax Credit and Child Benefit rows not to be included.

Links below to actual audited fund receipts have been provided

Please exclude the figures for Spirits and Tobacco as they appear in my opinion to be highly questionable (GERS 2013-14 implies tobacco raised per head £233 in Scotland, but only £110 in London)

In addition to the rows of the table presented, I request four additional rows to be included
First row
“North Sea receipts as a percentage of HMRC Tax Receipts”
Showing the % value of North Sea receipts as a % all HMRC Tax Receipts

Second row
''Total HMRC Taxes and Nics Per Person”
Showing sum of receipts of HMRC Taxes and Nics divided by population, for all regions and countries of the UK.

Third row
“Vehicle excise duty (VED)”
Showing Scottish government estimated receipt values for all regions and countries of the UK.

Fourth row
“Business Rates Retention/National Non-Domestic Rates “
Showing Scottish government estimated receipt values for all regions and countries of the UK.

Please feel at liberty to include any HMRC Tax Receipts I may have
omitted in a separate table.

National Insurance Fund
