Dear Mr Lee,

Thank you for your emails of 27 October 2016 and 7 November.  I am sorry
for the delay in responding to these emails, which were sent to a team
mailbox which appears not to have been sufficiently monitored.  I work in
the Committee on Radioactive Waste Management (CoRWM) Secretariat and will
carry out the internal review you have requested.

Your request for an internal review is being considered under the terms of
the Freedom of Information Act 2000.  Under the terms of the FOI Act we
should respond to you 20 days after receipt of your original request (24
November).  However, so that we can investigate this properly,  I would
like to extend this deadline to Friday 9 December (20 days from today).  I
am sorry for this delay.

I note from the link you sent that you wrote to CoRWM on 7 September
requesting the “Draft National Policy Statement for Geological Disposal
Facilities for radioactive wastes”.  We cannot find a record of this email
in our mailbox but nevertheless I would like to advise you that CoRWM does
not hold this information.  Your request may be more appropriately
addressed to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy
(BEIS).  If you have not already done so, then you may wish to write to
the BEIS FOI Team at [email address].

If you have any queries about this email, please contact me.

Best wishes,

Kate
