General rates
Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council, A new build of six semi detached houses have been built on 91 Bermuda Road Moreton ( Davina Court ) Since last December 2022 occupants have lived in one of the houses. Have any General rates been paid to Council and what banding would it be.

Thank you for your recent enquiry. We have sought the advice of our
Revenues and Benefits team who have provided the following response in
relation to the new development on Bermuda Road.
From Council Tax records, we can confirm that one of the six properties
has been registered. The Council’s Building Control (Street Naming &
Numbering) team have officially listed the properties as; 91, 91A, 91B,
91C, 91D and 91E Bermuda Road, Moreton Wirral CH46 6AU. There is no
mention of “Davina Court”.
Currently we are still waiting for the Valuation Office to confirm what
council tax band the registered property will fall into. The Valuation
Office is part of HMRC and therefore independent of all local authorities.

tax band. Once the new properties have been registered in the Valuation
List, they will also appear when an enquiry is made using the link.

Dear InfoMgr, FinDMT, Thank you for reply but your answer is not what I requested. Has any rates been paid on the new property at 91 Bermuda Road ( new build ) You say one of the property's has been registered but no mention of general rates being paid ?.
You then go on to say --- We are waiting for the valuation office to confirm tax banding ?
Therefore how can you charge a bill when you just do not know what to charge.
Person or persons have been living in this property 91 Bermuda Road since last December and have their bins emptied every week by contractor through WBC.
Have any general rates been paid. ?

information as to whether council tax has been paid in relation to 91
Bermuda Road.
Please note that we cannot divulge information on whether council tax is
being paid on another person's property as this amounts to the personal
data of a third party and as such is exempt from disclosure under Section
40(2) FOIA. Providing personal financial information would breach the 1st
data protection principle of fairness and lawfulness. That person would
have no expectation that their personal data would be shared with a 3^rd
party for reasons beyond which it is held.
You have the right under Section 17 of the Act to ask for an internal
review in respect of this decision. This should be sent to

result of your internal review, you then have the right to complain to the
