Thank you for your request dated 10th February 2022. I now have a response
for you and your questions are detailed below with each answer for ease of
reference.

 

You asked:

 

Q1. How many grievances’ have been made against NWSSP Employment Services
from staff?

 

Since the inception of NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP),
there have been 9 grievances raised by individual staff and 3 collective
grievances raised (12 grievances).

 

Q2. What departments were these in?

 

Grievances have been raised by staff within payroll, recruitment, service
improvement, pensions and student awards services.

 

Q3. Main reason for grievances?

 

The main reason for grievances listed are detailed as follows:

 

o Deterred from progressing roles.
o Requested excess travel from their new address after moving post site
move/inconsistency in the use of the Organisational Change Policy in
relation to excess travel expenses.
o Insufficient working environment following relocation.
o Overpayment.
o Bullying, harrassment, unfair recruitment process.
o Lack of support & accusation from a colleague.
o Inconsistency in job evaluation of team members.
o Failure to adhere to policies, breach of duty of care, damage to
health and wellbeing.

 

Q4. What years had the highest?

 

2017 and 2019 had the highest number of grievances (3 grievances raised in
each year).

 

Q5. How many Employment Services staff are currently off on sick leave?

 

The current sickness absence within Employment Services as at the 24th Feb
2022 is 16 members of staff.

 

Q6. Main reasons for sick leave?

 

The main reasons for sick leave are:

 

o Anxiety/stress/depression
o Chest & respiratory problems
o Benign and malignant tumour
o Gastrointestinal problems
o Infectious diseases

 

Q7. Were staff offered furlough? If no, why not?

 

NHS staff were not offered furlough as the NHS is classed as an essential
service. The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership required the workforce
to operate to support all those organisations that rely on it and the
services that they provide.

 

Q8. How many data breaches have occurred since September 2019 within
Employment services?

 

There have been 45 data breaches since September 2019.

 

Under Section 16 (advise and assist) we have facilitated your request and
have followed our processes to ensure that you have been provided with a
response.

 

Should you be dissatisfied with the process followed then you have the
right to request that we conduct an internal review. If you would like us
