available evidence supplied to them.

Freedom of Information Requests, Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust

Dear S Bradshaw

Your request for information, as detailed in your email below, has been
handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).  We apologise
for the delaly in answering your questions.  Please find below our
response:

1.     the average (mean) time in weeks between treatment or assessment
appointments for patients who received a follow-up appointment last
quarter (between 1st April to 30th June 2022 inclusive).

The average (mean) time in weeks between appointments for patients of the
adult GIC who received a follow-up appointment last quarter (between 1st
April to 30th June 2022 inclusive) was 18 months.

2.     the number of referrals currently on the priority queue for
ex-Armed Forces personnel at your service

The Trust does not have a priority queue for ex-Armed Forces patients

3.     any information you hold about about the eligibility (or otherwise)
of people with “intersex”/”DSD”/”VSD” conditions (diagnosed or
undiagnosed) for referral to your service, diagnosis with gender
incongruence, hormone therapy, or surgical referral

People with “intersex”/”DSD”/”VSD” conditions (diagnosed or undiagnosed)
are eligible to be seen by our service. As with all other service users,
we would work with those with “intersex”/”DSD”/”VSD” conditions on an
individual case-by-case basis, regarding their eligibility for any of the
services that we provide.

4.     the number of past and current referred patients using the
following titles: Mr, Ms, Mrs, Miss, Mx, Dr, other, and no title at all.

We do not hold comprehensive and up to date information on this, as
patients tend to vary their titles over time, and there is no requirement
for them to formally notify us of this.  The Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) only applies to recorded information that exists within the public
authority at the time of the request.

FOIA does not require an authority to answer questions where this would
involve the creation of new information, and this question can only be
answered by writing out to tens of thousands of patients, both current and
past, to obtain new data on their current preferred nomenclature, which,
as explained above is beyond the scope and provision of resources of the
FOIA.

Please note that information provided under FOIA is information held by
this Trust at the date on which the request was made.

We are aware that you have requested an internal review into our handling
of this request – this is currently underway, and, once concluded, we will
write to you separately with details  of the outcome.

We trust that you are satisfied with this response.  If you are
dissatisfied then please write to us at [1][Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust request email] quoting
the reference details in the header of this email, and explaining the
reason for your dissatisfaction.

Yours sincerely,
